Day-to-day, Just Fair Trade is run by a core paid staff team of four, plus managing director and founder Sarah – let us introduce you…

Karisha is a retail supervisor. She joined the team in October 2013 and became a permanent member of staff in October 2015 on completing her retail apprenticeship. Her favourite products are anything in Lanka Kade’s amazing range of toys! When she’s not at Just Fair Trade she enjoys watching movies, listening to music, nights out, playing computer games, sleeping and spending time with family and friends.

Kerry is our shop manager. She joined Just Fair Trade in December 2000 and her favourite product is One Village sandalwood soap. It contains finely ground sandalwood powder which gives the soap its fabulously uplifting fragrance. We have stocked it since the very beginning and it is still a bestseller!
When not at work Kerry likes tramping around in the countryside, books and reading, knitting, baking bread (and eating it). Oh, and mountain gorilla trekking in Rwanda!!!! She aspires to being a beekeeper one day in order to feed her honey ‘habit’!

Sarah is Just Fair Trade’s managing director and founder. Sarah first heard about fair trade as a teenager at Greenbelt festival in the early 80s. She started buying Traidcraft products including tea, dubbed ‘Sarah’s save the world teabags’ by nursing colleagues at Leicester Royal Infirmary! In 1996 she talked a group of friends into running a Christmas pop up shop with her in Leicester city centre which led in 2000 to the founding of Just Fair Trade. She is a season ticket holder at Leicester Tigers, likes singing, socialising (preferably with red wine) and still goes to Greenbelt festival every year!

Shona, our office and retail supervisor, is the newest member of our team, coming on board in October 2015. She became passionate about fair trade through her studies in Leadership and Management and through volunteering at Just Fair Trade. Her favourite products are Thought clothes, particularly their skirts and dresses. When she’s not working or studying, Shona enjoys outdoor adventures with her children, spending time with family and friends, crafting, baking, reading, movies, and lots of music!

Sumaiya is a shop supervisor. She joined the team in 2003 (she thinks!). Picking a favourite product is tough but Divine milk chocolate with orange is always a winner, and she’s also a big fan of Earth Squared’s amazing range of bags. In her spare time she loves reading, baking and making deserts.
