Zaytoun Freekeh is a traditional alternative to rice or more ordinary grains, and has been grown in Palestine for over 4,000 years. It’s suitable for vegetarians and perfect for use in risotto, stuffing, pilaf, or sprinkled across salads. Freekeh is a truly ancient grain. Green durum wheat is harvested while young and roasted on an open fire. It’s then rubbed to remove the husk, revealing an aromatic, smoked grain packed with protein and fibre.

Easy Cook Instruction: Rinse contents of pack in cold water. Steam for 20 minutes or add 400ml of stock or water, bring to boil and simmer for 12-15 minutes.
